Chinese Rare Large Jian Tea Bowl. Finely potted with a deep flaring body rising from a short foot to an everted mouth rim, covered overall with a lustrous black glaze finely streaked with iridescent silver 'hare's fur' markings, the glaze ends irregularly above the foot revealing the dark brown stoneware body, the base incised with characters 'meng yin', the rim bound in a metal band. {Diameter: 8.5 inches (21.5 cm)}. Condition: Surface scratches, oxidation of the metal rim.
