Steve Abee (Lenoir, NC, b. 1968), Frog Jug
alkaline glazed stoneware one gallon jug, having a single handle with a whimsical frog catching a fly applied to the front, inscribed below the frog #1, inscribed on the underside "Steve Abee Lenoir NC".
11 in.
Abee follows the traditions of the Catawba Valley. He uses only the 19th century methods of pottery-making kept alive and passed on by Burlon Craig of Vale, NC.
