Description
Oil on board depicting Cephalus and Procris. Originally believed to have belonged to, and hung in one of the Local Mansions of Revolutionary War Col. Arthur Erwin. Then passed down threw decendents of the family. Restoration work and framing was commisoned many years ago by a family member from which we acquired it. The board does have Bow to it due to age. Wood board does have a bow, the paint is alligatored in some spots and does have a scratch to the conservators laquer which can be seen in the photo. MEASURES: Frame to Frame 31 1/4" x 27", Painting Measures 24" X 19"
