Minton Pewter-Mounted Majolica 'Tower Jug' and Cover
Shape no. 1231, date code for 1868
In the Medieval Revival taste, of tapering form, the shell-molded cover with jester 'Punch' finial, the branch handle issuing bands of entwined ivy, the body modeled with a continuous scene of Medieval revellers before a rampart, impressed uppercase mark, N and cyphers. Height 13 1/4 inches.
