Description
This is a beautiful piece of WWII-era radio advertising. It is a Telechron illuminated electrical clock, number NP-296, which advertises radio servicing and the Sylvania tube brand and features a graphic of a Sylvania loktal tube, which were largely manufactured between 1938-1947. The back panel, which appears to be a foil-plated pressboard as was common due to wartime rationing - is in good condition for the era. There are two lamps present which provide backlighting to the face. The domed crystal appears to be glass. Dimensions: Dia. 15" x D 3.5" Condition: Untested; sold as-is. Face in excellent condition with very little discoloration or pitting to chrome bezel. There are two power cables exiting the back of the unit - presumably one is for the illumination, the other is for the clock - both cables are in extremely poor condition. One tiny chip to glass crystal near the number 9, possibly a manufacturing flaw.
