Signed on mat by Edward P. McMurtry. Edward P. McMurtry (1883-1969) "joined the Camera Pictorialists of Los Angeles in 1929. He submitted his work to salons throughout the world and, according to the American Annual of Photography, was the second most exhibited Pictorialist in the world between 1930 and 1935, having shown 929 prints in 179 salons. He died in Carmel."
