Group of English Majolica Table Articles
Comprising a George Jones turquoise-ground lobed circular dish, circa 1875, the broad border molded with radiating strawberry blossoms and paired leaves about a mottled tortoise-shell brown and green glazed center, within brown line rims, black painted shape no. 3454/90, impressed 9A, diameter 8 1/2 inches; a George Jones turquoise-ground 'Apple Blossom and Wicker' jug, circa 1870, tapering cylindrical, with bracket branch handle the terminal as flowering apple blossom branches, the lower body with a molded band of basketweave, raised registry diamond 25-F-?-6, black painted P, height 5 5/8 inches; a Minton turquoise-ground strawberry dish, date cypher for 1870, of compartmented form, the scallop-shell form plate molded with fruiting and flowering strawberry briar, the conjoined recessed lobed-oval well for whip cream, all edged in burgundy and green, impressed uppercase mark raised registry diamond (T-3-5-H) for 3 April 1867, parcel 5, W and cypher, length 8 5/8 inches; a George Jones & Sons brown-ground' Tree-Stump and Vine' small jug, circa 1865-78, of pear shape with branch handle, the rustic bark ground applied with two insects and a snail among scrolling vines, raised double-gourd GJ monogram, Stoke-on-Trent Pad mark, height 5 inches; and a George Jones turquoise-ground dish, circa 1870, of quatrefoil form, molded with flowering strawberry vine issuing from the rim, the underside mottled in brown and green, impressed GJ monogram mark, A and 5, black painted 3322/y, width 6 1/2 inches.
