W.T. Copeland & Sons Majolica Lotus Jug
Dated 1880
Of squared pear shape with angular handle, molded on each side with a large pink lotus blossom, bud and leaf, on a textured grey-brown arched panel, the joins with large buds issuing stiff palm tips, the neck with a band of flowerheads, beneath a beaded rim, turquoise interior, impressed uppercase mark raised registry diamond (2-P-I-3) for 2 July 1877, 12 and 6 GILL, blackened KA/80 and blue painted A. Height 8 3/4 inches.
