Description
A group of three World War II German military decorations. First, a World War II German military decoration, the Demyansk Shield, Armelschild Demjansk in German. The zinc badge features an eagle with swastika, flanked by two log pillboxes with gun ports and inscription Demjansk. The central part of the shield features a head-on single engine aircraft behind two crossed swords and the year 1942. Second, a NSDAP Reichsparteitag 1929 Nurnberg commemorative badge of a shield form featuring a building at top, below legend, at centre eagle resting on helmet clutching oak leaves encircling swastika, legend either side and below. And a WWII Nazi German Crimea Shield military decoration. The shield was struck in sheet metal and treated with a bronzed wash. It is headed by the German eagle clutching a laurel wreath surrounding a swastika, flanked by the dates 1941 and 1942. This sits on a backdrop of the Crimean peninsula, bearing the word Krim.
