French Art deco vase made in the 1930's by Legras , Auguste LEGRAS was a glass worker who bought the factory at Saint-Denis, near Paris, in 1864. He knew a great success with his famous enameled colored or acid engraved glass. In 1897, he bought two others big factories. His son, Charles LEGRAS, succeed in 1909 and the production was stopped during the WWI. He reopened his doors in 1919 until 1931 and produced many original new ART DECO works .The size of this one is outstanding , in view of the fact that the factory closed in 1931 ( date of death of August Legras) this type of art glass had a very short production. In comparison Lallique's and Daum's factory are still active to this day . This a chance to acquire a unique piece which is truly the expression of its time .Size H.21 1/2 x Circumference 29 3/4 (larger part) , good antique condition ,there is some scratches from normal use , they can only be seen if you are looking very closely
