Description
19th Century Carved Chinese Ox Bone Brooch ED1274. Excellent Condition! DE612AB. Antique 19th century, intricately carved ox bone Chinese Canton brooch. The carving and color are the same as can be seen in Conton card cases. The scene is of five robed men outside a pagoda with trees and brance. Behind the front carving is a carving behind, like you would find in a puzzle ball. There are steps and doors behind the front carving. This is a rare find. The brooch is set in unmarked silver with an old c clasp. This amazing carved brooch measures 1.75 x 1.25" with a depth of .5". The carving is like a cabochon, domed, with the second carving behind it. Extremely well carved. Valued between $900-$1,000.00. Thank you for viewing this lot! We are always adding new inventory and new auctions, so please check back often. We appreciate your business and support. Enjoy the auction! SAA - Seized Assets Auctioneers."
