Rare Pair of Sino-Tibetan Bronze Oil Lamps, 18th Century, of Ganesh ("remover of obstacles") and Kartikeya ("God of War"). Each framed by an open-work mandorla on top of a lotus base supported by a plinth over a long cylindrical open-work chased bronze multi-tiered shaft with a round base. Each tier with rows of lappet bands.

H: 39 inches each (100cm each).

Provenance: Property of a distinguished collector and scholar of Southeast Asian Art acquired in Southeast Asia in the 1970's. (Lots 55, 56, 57, 58, 59).

稀有漢藏銅油燈兩盞，18世紀。一盞為象頭神（印度教及印度神話中的智慧之神、破除障礙之神），一盞為卡爾凱蒂耶（印度神話和佛教體系中的戰神）。兩盞均被裝飾在透雕技法的裝飾板中，下有蓮花座，蓮花座下面有個基座，基座上則是圓柱形體透雕圓底多層銅軸。各層都有幾排花瓣紋裝飾。 每盞高: 39 英寸 (100厘米)。 出處：一位研究東亞藝術的學者舊藏，其於上世紀七十年代得自南亞。(Lots 55, 56, 57, 58, 59).
