Victory Liberty Loan Convertible 4 3/4% Gold Note of 1922-23 $50 May 20, 1919. This Bonds Grades XF/AU. S/N I 9118712 Victory Bonds were the final and 5th series issued by the United States to help in its war against the Kaiser. The Victory Bonds were issued after the conclusion of WorldWar I and were used to provide the funds to bring "our boys" home. This Bond with the letter "I" prefix is "crackling" fresh and has (6) coupons of the original (8) issued. Beautifully colored in Patriotic "Red, White and Blue" the Bald Eagle perched at the ready on the obverse with the Eagle clutching "Old Glory" as on the 1918 Series $1 Federal Reserve Bank Notes in Brown.
