The Qilin is a Chinese mythical creature also known as the sacred dragon horse in Feng Shui which symbolizes wisdom, prosperity, good luck, and longevity. The Chi Lin can act as a protective amulet to block or dissolve difficult people and situational. Seen here with a smiling boy rider it is symbolic of good fortune. Two turquoise beads hang from the 4" amulet made of an antique silver alloy, matching the long metal curved bottom piece of the necklace, which is followed by blue cloisonne beads intermixed with light orange stone beads, possibly carnelian or amber.
