Description
Whimsical 1975 serigraph by Jonathan Grant Meader, also known as 'Ascian'. Artist's note on verso begins: "It is my interpretation of the standard 'Rhino in Boat listening to Fish' (RIBLTF) formula'" and goes on to describe the 24 color process achieved in 27 pulls to achieve the right depth of color, etc. Meader's work can be found in numerous public and private collections including the Whitney, Corcoran, Phillips, Hirshorn and the National Gallery as well as the collections of Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Eric Clapton, George Segal, and more. Signed dated and numbered in pencil 55/140. Frame, approx. 23 1/4" X 23 1/4". Sight, approx. 18" diameter.
