Domenichino (Italian, 1581 - 1641). Aeneas Saving His Father Anchises from the Burning of Troy. Antique engraving on laid paper after the original by master etcher/engraver Gerard Audran (1640 - 1703). Year: 1660. Image Size 10 x 15 1/2 inches. Framed dimensions approximately 21 x 26 inches. This piece has been professionally matted and framed using all new materials.Aditional Notes: Daniel, seated, and David, standing beside him, both holding stone tablets, an angel standing between them. After the wall painting in the Chigi chapel, Santa Maria della Pace (Rome). Another example of the print can be found in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
