Wassily Kandinsky - HEAVY RED litho. framed. about 30 inches tall. Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky was a Russian painter and art theorist. Kandinsky is generally credited as one of the pioneers of abstraction in western art. Born in Moscow, he spent his childhood in Odessa, where he graduated at Grekov Odessa Art School. He enrolled at the University of Moscow, studying law and economics. Successful in his profession—he was offered a professorship (chair of Roman Law) at the University of Dorpat (today Tartu, Estonia)—Kandinsky began painting studies (life-drawing, sketching and anatomy) at the age of 30. This is from a 1924 oil print - of which the original is believed to be in Kunstmuseum Basel.

We will remove the frame from your item and either ship your winning art flat or rolled based on how the art is matted or mounted. This service is $10.00 per frame. We will recycle the frame and give it to a local art school. We will work with each individual winner on how you want your art shipped and delivered - framed or unframed.
