We've never seen anything like this piece before. It looks like a charm that has been mounted in the box shown with a plastic cover. It could have gold content, but we wouldn't know for sure without breaking open the box. This piece was with the jewelry. The head and legs are thin metal and have a springy motion to them, which makes them dance when the box is moved. For size reference, the turtle shell is approximately 1-3/8" by 1".
