Anonymous folk art sculpture which looks to have been crafted from burlap over copper frame with a black clay or melted material over the frame. There is no apparent signature detected. Very interesting example. H16" The current owner found this piece while visiting Cumberland Island and was told it was crafted by a local African American artisan. Sold from the collection of a Charleston, South Carolina lady and gentleman.
