Description

Iconic sleek Mid-Century Modern arm chair designed by Jens Risom. The C-140 chair dubbed the "Playboy" chair after appearing in the July 1961 issue of Playboy Magazine. The article on influential Mid-Century furniture designers featured Risom along with Eames, Nelson, Saarinen, Wormley & Bertoia. Sculptural American black walnut frame, caned back, period upholstery. Circa 1955. With label underneath. Dimensions: H 32.25" x W 22.5" x D 23" x SH 17" Condition: Caning good. Soiling and fading to seat cushion; some oxidization. Couple small white paint marks and nicks to frame.
