Meticulously restored and maintained, this pair of armchairs exudes the luxury of the finest turn-of-the-century craftsmanship. The solid wood frames have aged to a rich, warm patina, suggesting a composition of walnut, possibly with mahogany accents. The arms are splayed and subtly scrolled, with stems carved in a stylized vine motif. Double-caned sides and molded back rest upon a fully gadrooned apron, expertly carved and rubbed so that it appears to glow in the light; with ball-and-claw feet at the front. Indigo chenille upholstery in a geometric architectural pattern completes the look. Dimensions: H 31.5" x W 29.75" x D 29" x SH 17.25" Condition: Reupholstered. Wear consistent with age and use. A few tiny breaks to cane, scattered minor nicks and scratches to wood frame. Seats apparently rebuilt with recent reupholstering. M004
