Description
Late 19th-early 20th century. Thick frame with foreshortened blocks and backing board made from a crate. Alligatored varnish. Opening 10" x 12", overall, 15" x 17". And a folksy frame with inlay and applied scallops. Loose corners with some damage. Opening, 16.5" x 25", overall 21.5" x 29.5".
Condition
Smaller has alligatored varnish, some surface nicks and surface wear along one edge. One corner has what looks to be a spot of paint.
Larger has thicker varnish and the corners need to be renailed, all four are wobbly and the nails are partially pulled out of two corners.
