Mountaineering.- Fellows (Charles) A Narrative of an Ascent to the Summit of Mont Blanc, first edition, presentation inscription from author to half-title, mostly erased, hand-coloured title vignette, 10 hand-coloured plates, 1 table, 1 facsimile, occasional pencil annotations, scattered faint spotting, new endpapers retaining bookplates, ex-library with marginal ink-stamps, contemporary half-calf, rebacked and recornered, library labels to upper cover, a little rubbed, [Neate F18], 4to, 1827.

⁂ The rare coloured issue, of which Meckly claims only 18 are known.

Provenance: Inscribed to Rev D. Wilkins, and with his bookplate. Occasional marginal pencil notes, presumably in Wilkins hand.
