Description

Nautical Spyglass by Erofs of London and once the possesion of Sir Edmund Lyons, an Admiral in the English Royal Navy. Admiral Edmund Lyons, 1st Baron Lyons (1790 - 1858) was an eminent british admiral of the British Royal Navy and Diplomat. He was Commander and victorious in the Crimean war, commanding the mediterranean fleet. He commanded three ships, HMS Binaldo, HMS Blonde, and HMS Madagascar. The fine telescope has nickel plated brasses, two draw tubes and a long tapered barrel covered in leather. Quite rare indeed to find such a rare nautical relic.
