World War III Emergency Flare Pistol by the Pyrotechnic Co. This is from the Peninsular and Orient Steamship Company Ship "Canton". With serial number 15580. Also marked USCG approved. RMS Canton was the last ship built before World War II and the last ship of many built for P&O by Alexander Stevens and Sons, Glasgow. Dimensions; 9"H X 11"L, 4 LBS.
