An Exceptional Michel Lepaute Mantel Regulator with Remontoir and Calendar, circa 1821
Mahogany cased striking mantel regulator with sweep center seconds hand and concentric date of the month calendar on a convex porcelain-enamel dial signed Lepaute Hr. du Roi & de la Ville a Paris. The movement with grid-iron compensating pendulum and Lepaute's rare 10 second remontoire is signed Michel Lepaute a Paris, invenit et FECIT 1281 no. 12/2, circa 1821. 2 week duration.
