EDWARD BOREIN (American, 1872-1945), "Roped Steer," No. 1, from On the Range, plate 133, etching and drypoint, (approximate dimensions - image: 4 3/8 x 8 inches, sheet (sight): 5 x 8 3/8 inches); miniature illustration of man on horse lower left, and signed lower right. Provenance: Edward Borein gave this artwork to consignor's mother in 1926, written verso. Literature: "The Etching of Edward Borein," A Catalogue of his work by John Galvin, Compiled with the assistance of Warren R. Howell, In collaboration with Harold G. Davidson; Published by John Howell - Books, San Francisco, California, MCMLXXI. Condition: Minor foxing on margin. Not examined out of frame.
