Two English Dress Costume Swords. Comprising tuck sword with black shagreen wire wrapped handle, engraved blade, leather sheath; rapier with mother of pearl grip, engraved blade, and leather sheath. Tuck with small round plaque impressed with 'PROVED' to the ricasso and George V insignia to the blade, rapier with 'JOHN WATSON & SONS BOMBAY' to the lower blade. {Approximate dimensions including sheaths: Tuck 41 inches long, rapier 38 inches long.}. Condition: Some corrosion, patina, and surface wear throughout. Wear and weathering to leather. Tuck cross-guard is slightly loose. Wire to grip has started unraveling. Wear to the leather sheath including tear to belt strap and loss to tip. Rapier with cracks to grip, partially repaired. The sheath has broken towards the end, all pieces present.
