Large Carrara Marble Figural Fireplace Surround

20th century, in the Renaissance taste, the shaped deck supported by male and female figural pilasters, each with a carved lion's masque above, the under-deck frieze with a central female portrait and floral garland swags on each side.

In overall good condition. There are some minor stains and imperfections to the surface. Some scattered, small, insignificant chips. The deck has a small underside chip to the front left corner. Very well carved. There are remnants of old plaster residue at the seams and joints where it was disassembled.
