The aquatint and soft ground etching is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right, titled lower left, dedication reads 'Friends of Art - K.S.C. - 1955' lower left.

Listed as North catalog #89. According to North 'Afterglow was issued at the K-State Friends of Art Gift Print for 1955. Helm used the plate for Afterglow as the basis of End of Day (Cat 92).'

Plate size 7 x 10, sheet measures 10 x 13 inches.
