A French malachite inlaid black slate mantel clock, retailed by Howard & Company, New York, circa 1900, the gilt bronze and beveled glass bezel enclosing a circular white enamel dial with roman numerals inscribed "Howard & Co. / New York", having a visible anchor escapement, the twin train movement striking on a bell, the backplate with Samuel Marti pastille and numbered 8791.

Condition
The case with scattered chips and fleabites to corners. The malachite inlaid central medallion is mostly lacking.The steel and brass gridiron pendulum is possibly associated. Dust accumulation. Where the pendulum hangs on the movement is broken, but retained. We cannot guarantee the functionality and completeness of the clock's movement. No winding key.
