Description
A Philadelphia painted low back Windsor settee, Circa 1800, with carved knuckle terminals, the spindles, legs and stretchers with bamboo turnings, retaining an old ash colored paint over original green paint.
Dimensions:Height 30in; width 80 1/2in; depth of seat 22in; depth overall 27in; seat height 17 1/4in.

Condition
Structurally sound. Retaining an old untouched grungy painted surface. Beneath the current old painted surface there is traces of the bench's original green paint. The back left leg is a replacement. The left and middle turned stretchers are replaced. (The middle stretcher an old replacement) Heavy marks, wear, scuffs, abrasions and surface scratches overall commensurate with age and use.
