Rare auction catalogue for the sale of lots in the block bounded by Clement Street on the north and Pt. Lobos Ave. (now Geary Blvd.) on the south, between 35th and 36th Avenues. Mrs. Emma L. Merritt was the daughter of Adolph Sutro. The auctioneers were Baldwin and Howell, one of the most famous and reputable real estate firms in San Francisco. The map on p.2 is a cadastral map of the block, showing the numbered lots on offer, four of which are indicated as already sold; the map on p.3 is a location map of the northwest corner of San Francisco, showing the block on offer. Prospective bidders are advised that: "Your home will possess the finest marine view attainable if you build it in this block.... Marine view lots within reach of the plain people." OCLC lists one copy, at the University of California Berkeley.
