Description
The carved ebonized Celtic knot handle topped by an oval faceted glass stone in imitation of a cairngorm, silver mounts stamped for Edinburgh, Scotland, date mark 1911, original matching sheath.
Measures 8 inches.
Provenance: The collection of Josephine Bird Hall (1888 - 1948) by descent to her son, the present owner. Josephine's father was a founder of Kansas City's Emery, Bird, Thayer Department Store.
