The original work on paper purchased from Findlay Galleries, Inc., Chicago, Illinois in 1967 is signed by Jean Dufy lower right front and displayed in the original frame with gilt brass plaque lettered in black enamel mounted on linen liner within a carved and gilded wood outer frame. No watermark to the paper.
Image measures 20.5 x 26.5 with a framed size of 27 x 33 inches.
Provenance: Purchased from Findlay Galleries, Inc., Chicago, Illinois in 1967 for $4,500 less 10% discount. Art Reference Gallery provided a fair market value appraisal in 1977 for $3,000 - $3,500. Du Mouchelle's in Detroit, Michigan, provided a fair market value appraisal in 2003 of $5,000.
