Wedgwood is one of the oldest and most respected companies producing china today. In 1759, Josiah Wedgwood established himself as an independent potter at the “Ivy House Works” in Burslem, England. Wedgwood’s crowning achievement was Jasperware, non-glazed porcelain featuring classical figures in bas-relief, now virtually synonymous with the Wedgwood name. Popular patterns like Nantucket, Strawberry & Vine, Amherst, Edme, and more are great examples of the tableware artistry that's been present at Wedgwood for more than 250 years.
