Giovanni Battista Piranesi (Italian 1720-1778), Bronze Lamps/Cinerary Vase Views, 1773-78, posthumous restrike, etching on paper, image left represents two bronze lamps, one is in the form of a chariot drawn by two bulls and driven by Diana, image right depicts two views of a cinerary vase, signed in plate lower right, marked in plates upper right “512a” and “512b,” blind stamp lower right possibly from the “Regia Calcografia Edition,” unframed, provenance: Phyllis Lucas Gallery, NYC, image: 15.25” H x 11” W & 15.25” H x 10” W, sheet: 23.5” x 32.75”.
