Alexandre Evgenevich Yakovlev, Russian, 1887 to 1938, three vintage framed lithograph prints of African people. Includes a portrait of a young African woman with a child and a large round basket on her head, a portrait of a seated African man, and a portrait of a seated African lady. All three are illegibly inscribed in print. Note: In 1924-1925, the artist Alexander Yakovlev, as part of an expedition organized by the management of the Citroen factories, took part in a unique rally across the entire African continent. The drawings and diary entries made by the artist during this expedition attract attention with their authenticity, imagery and variety of subjects.
