Description

This OUTSTANDING cotton 1870's hexagon quilt top is all hand pieced, with an unusual "woven" mosaic pattern. It was made by Frances Blankenbeker (1801-1886) of Boone County, Ohio. It was purchased from her great, great, great grandson (now in his 80s).

It measures a generous 82" X 104" and is in excellent, never washed condition with excellent, never washed, with the occasional small age spot and no wear.
The GORGEOUS EARLY FABRICS, including some copper madder prints and paisleys, RARE DESIGN, and AMAZING CONDITION make this MUSEUM QUALITY quilt top stand out!
