Table clock presided over by Poseidon, the Olympian god of the seas, and Amphitrite, his consort. They are sculptures in patinated calamine and present an idealised work, inspired by the harmonious proportions and the canons of beauty of classical Greek statuary. The dial, with Roman numerals, is housed in a case decorated with malachite soffits and a profusion of rocaille motifs in gilded calamine.
