Description
Vase ''violet metallin optical'' Eduard Prochaska (design of form and decoration), Loetz Witwe, Klostermühle, 1907 Colorless glass, underlaid in white and in violet. Blown in eighteen-part ribbed model. H. 17 cm. Lit.: Ricke/Vlcek, Lötz Bohemian Glass vol. II, p. 185, no. 5245 (form); Mergl/Ploil/Ricke, Lötz Bohemian Glass 1880 to 1940, p. 132, no. 89 (decor). Eduard Prochaska was director of the Lötz glassworks from 1890 to 1922. Our vase is one of his secured designs.
