CRIA double Platinum Album award for Velvet Revolver debut album Contraband presented to Slash. Released on June 8, 2004, it was certified Double Platinum by the CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association) on March 8, 2005.

Slash formed Velvet Revolver with STP alum Scott Weiland, Wasted Youth's Dave Kushner, and Guns N' Roses bandmates Duff McKagen and Matt Sorum while on hiatus from GNR. The album topped the Canadian Top Albums and U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums chart on the stength of singles "Fall To Pieces", "Dirty Little Thing", and "Slither" (which won a Grammy award for Best Hard Rock Performance). It also was certified 2x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA in the U.S.

Detailed Item Description: This is a CRIA Double Platinum award that would have been manufactured in 2005 making it approx. 17 years old. This award is presented to Slash. It was acquired in an auction of his memorabilia he personally arranged in 2019.

This award is in Excellent condition with original manufacturer's sticker with only very minor mars on its metal frame.

Notes on the condition of all vintage awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
