RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum Award for Lenny Kravitz's Greatest Hits album. Released on Oct. 24, 2000, it was certified 3x Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for 3 million copies sold on April 18, 2001. This is a very unique award, with multiple "3D" type elements in a shallow shadow box.

The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and #12 on the UK Albums chart. Composed of Kravitz hits including "Are You Gonna Go My Way", "Fly Away", his remake of The Guess Who hit "American Woman" and more, it also contained new single "Again" which went to #4 on the Hot 100. The album also did very well in many other international territories.

Detailed Item Description: This unique, large and impressively designed RIAA 3x Multi-Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2001, making it approximately 21 years old. This award is presented to Jonathan Lev, a promotions and marketing executive who worked with rock, pop and alternative artists including Kravitz, Godsmack, Incubus, Nirvana, U2, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.

It is all original with RIAA serial number hologram on front and Ill-Eagle manufacturer's sticker on rear. This award is in Excellent condition except for a crack in the plexiglass from top to bottom next to the right frame rail (see images).

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.

As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home.
