1862 $100 CSA Currency Note Ft. Slaves Working In a Field & J.C. Calhoun
A rare $100 Confederate States of America note. Measuring 7.25" x 3", Richmond, dated October 29, 1862. No. 100584, Series W. Signed by Register G. Johnston and Treasurer W. D. Harvey. Engraved and printed by Keatinge & Ball, South Carolina. Featuring an image of three slaves toiling in a field, along with a portrait of John C. Calhoun and the allegorical figure of "Confederacy". Bank stamps on verso. With flattened folds, light wear, soiling, and toning. Worn corners and uneven edges. Overall very good.
