Description
Two duck decoys each signed "Made 1929 by C. Wells". Clint Wells was a duck decoy maker in Fort Worth, Texas. One is in generally good condition with minor paint losses, while the other has become separated from its head (with minor loss of wood from the neck), though the head is present. Both retain their original anchor line and anchor, wrapped around the keel. Together with a 1904 color print of a duck hunter and a portable fish-shaped fishing rig approximately 18" long overall, with original line, hook and metal plate reading "Bill Yaw / West Winfield N.Y." This most likely refers to William D. Yaw (1933-2015) of West Winfield.
