Comprising two Kumeyaay baskets, one a coiled pine needle tapered bowl with spaced stitching radiating from base (4.75" H x 7.75" Dia.) and the second a coiled pine needle bowl woven with thick bundles of thin pine needles (4.5" H x 9" Dia.); two Seminole baskets including a two-handled basket stitched with polychrome embroidery thread with a palmetto husk base (2" H x 6.75" Dia.) and a large oval coiled pine needle basket (4.75" H x 15" W x 13.75" D); two twined lidded sewing baskets (largest: 3.5" H x 7" Dia.); a Coushatta polychrome twined bowl with banding (5.5" H x 9.75" Dia.), a polychrome twined octagonal lidded sewing basket (3.5" H x 7.75" Dia.) and a small polychrome coiled bowl (3.25" H x 6.5" Dia.), 9 pieces

Overall good condition with dust accumulation and wear commensurate with age and use. Second pine needle basket with a few scattered minor breaks to needle bunch terminals. Scattered breaks to rim stitching. Multiple stitch losses to base coil. Interior base with scattered areas of breaks to pine needle bunches. Shelf wear to base. Brown sewing basket with scattered breaks to sticks at base. Coushatta basket with fading to exterior, two breaks with stitch losses to rim bundle, and further scattered stitch losses to rim. Sewing basket with damage and loss to rim of lid, slight distortion, breaks and loss to basket rim, fading to exterior, and scattered areas of dark spots/staining.
