Description

Edwardian silver mounted dressing table items, to include a hand-held mirror, two hair brushes, two clothes brushes and two silver lidded glass vanity pots (some a.f), each with foliate scrolled embossing. Hallmarked Williams (Birmingham) Ltd and Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1902 and Adie & Lovekin Ltd, Birmingham 1901. Length of hand-held mirror 11" (28cm).

Condition Report:

Items show moderate surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

Embossed mounts show some notable losses and holes.

Edges to clothes brushes are very creased and bashed, with some repairs, lifting and splits.

Recesses to embossing show thick polish and dirt residue.

Covers to lids are very stiff and difficult to remove.

Glass vanity pots show some nibbling to detail and edges.

Hairbrushes are lifted and creased around edges.
