1266 Hijrah / 1859 or 1860 AD. A 19th Century Ottoman Empire Quran with sumptuous carpet pages illuminated in multi-colour pigments and burnished gold leaf. Intricate fine decoration multi-coloured throughout, copied by Hafez Ibrahim Khulusi ibn Ahmed (ḤÄfẓ IbrÄhÄ«m al-Khuluṣī Ibn ʾAḥmad RÄshid bin FrzÄdÄh), a pupil of Khalil Shukri al-bazawese (KhalÄ«l ShukrÄ« al-BazÅ«sÄ«) also known as Khaw_jah Thuluth, in the Adliyah library (Maktab al-maÊ¿Ärif al-Ê¿adlÄ«ah). The library al-Ê¿adlÄ«ah was named after the Sultan Mahumod Pasha (Sulá¹Än MaḥmÅ«d)(d. 1474), who was commonly named Adle (Ê¿AdlÄ«). Original cover with Rococo decoration.
