AMERICAN "SHOO FLY" PIECED QUILT,hand- and machine-stitched, 36 on-point pattern blocks in various print fabrics, alternating with whole pink print blocks, triple border to all four sides, straight-line, grid, and diagonal quilting, applied print fabric binding, two paneled plain backing.First half 20th century, some fabrics possibly earlier.70" x 71".
Provenance: Property from a Youngstown, OH estate.

Condition

Excellent overall condition except for a few scattered stains, some blocks and backing with ghosting/bleeding of a pinkish color mostly on white print fabrics.
