A most beautiful antique estate Italian white hand embroidered linen tablecloth with lovely skillfully done eyelet cutwork, inserts of figural cupids, and women, filet, point de venise inserts, and embroidered baskets of flowers. The tablecloth is skillfully done with hand stitched embroidery. Dating from the 1900 to 1920s.
The stitches are skillfully worked into the linen surface ornamentation in whitework embroidery.

Measures approx 74" round.

CONDITION

In very good condition with one small repaired stabilizing hole, repair can be seen in last photo and few broken brides, an easy fix, no stains or weakness. Also a small repair on angel/cupid and small breaks in filet edging. Recently professionally laundered and pressed, this tablecloth is almost pristine.

Our antique textiles are collectible and are not new and not reproductions, and have lived a long and eventful life and sometimes developing flaws. We do not launder or dry clean unless stated in listing, and most times have been in storage for many decades picking up old age storage oxidation spots.
